Friends in Cars Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Friends in Cars (“Friends in Cars,” “FiC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the Friends in Cars application, website, beta program, and related services.
By using Friends in Cars, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Friends in Cars Is
Friends in Cars provides temporary live voice conversations between participants.
Participants select conversation contexts and may be matched with another available participant for a live conversation of a selected duration.
Friends in Cars does not guarantee that a match will always be available, that another participant will remain for the entire session, or that any particular conversation will be enjoyable, useful, accurate, or appropriate.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use or participate in Friends in Cars.
By using the service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.
3. Driving Comes First
Friends in Cars may be used by participants who are driving. Safe operation of your vehicle must always take priority over using Friends in Cars.
Do not interact with your phone or the application in a manner that is unsafe or prohibited by law.
You are responsible for complying with traffic laws, distracted-driving laws, hands-free requirements, and other laws applicable where you are driving.
If road, traffic, weather, vehicle, or other conditions require your attention, discontinue use of Friends in Cars.
Friends in Cars does not guarantee that use of a voice service while driving is safe or lawful under every circumstance.
4. Conversations With Other Participants
Friends in Cars connects you with other people. We do not control what another participant may say and do not endorse statements, opinions, advice, claims, or recommendations made by participants.
You are responsible for what you choose to say or disclose during a conversation. Do not disclose information you do not want another participant to know.
Do not rely on another participant for professional medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice.
5. Participant Conduct
You may not use Friends in Cars to:
- threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, defraud, impersonate, or abuse another person;
- promote or facilitate illegal activity;
- intentionally expose another participant to sexually explicit or seriously abusive content;
- improperly solicit sensitive personal or financial information;
- interfere with the operation or security of the service;
- evade a suspension, restriction, or other safety measure; or
- use the service in a manner that creates a material safety risk.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect participants, the service, or others.
6. Reports, Feedback, Blocking, and Safety Measures
Friends in Cars may provide tools that allow participants to report conduct, provide feedback, or indicate that they do not want to interact with another participant again.
We may use reports, participant identifiers, usage information, and related information to investigate misuse, enforce these Terms, prevent abuse, or protect participants.
We may impose warnings, cooldowns, matching restrictions, suspensions, or other measures based on reported or detected conduct.
A report does not guarantee any particular action or outcome.
7. Offers
Friends in Cars may allow you to choose whether to receive offers during a conversation and, if so, how many.
Offers may be provided by third-party Partners. Friends in Cars may determine which offers are eligible based on the conversation context you selected before the conversation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Friends in Cars does not manufacture, sell, fulfill, or warrant products or services offered by Partners.
Partner offers may be subject to additional terms, eligibility requirements, availability restrictions, redemption conditions, or expiration periods.
Your decision to visit a Partner, purchase or redeem an offer, or otherwise interact with a Partner is voluntary and may create a separate relationship between you and that Partner.
8. Beta Service
Friends in Cars is currently a beta service.
Beta features may be incomplete, changed, interrupted, unavailable, or removed. Matches may not always be available, and features may not always operate as expected.
We may modify the service as we learn from beta use.
You should not rely on the continued availability of any particular beta feature.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Friends in Cars collects, uses, retains, and otherwise handles information associated with the service.
By using Friends in Cars, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
The Friends in Cars software, design, branding, content, audio, trademarks, and other proprietary materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Friends in Cars for its intended purpose.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of Friends in Cars intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or exploit Friends in Cars or its proprietary materials except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
11. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue some or all of Friends in Cars.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, successful matching, continuous network connectivity, or availability of any particular feature or Partner offer.
12. Third-Party Services
Friends in Cars relies on third-party technologies and services and may provide access or links to Partner websites or services.
Third-party products, services, websites, terms, privacy practices, availability, and content are controlled by those third parties.
Your use of a third-party service may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices established by that third party.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Friends in Cars is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose.
We do not warrant or endorse statements, advice, information, products, services, or conduct of participants or Partners.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Friends in Cars and persons involved in providing the service will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Friends in Cars.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Friends in Cars at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Friends in Cars if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created a safety or security risk, abused the service, or if suspension or termination is otherwise reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will continue to apply.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Friends in Cars develops.
If we make material changes, we will provide notice when appropriate and update the effective date.
Your continued use of Friends in Cars after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
